A vision of Earth, a key of access and a solution to a seismological conundrum

Earth is a complex system of systems and earthquakes are both drammatic and complex manifestation of its tectonic evolution. Geosystemics approaches the problem from a holistic point of view. The study of the physics underlying the interactions among the different components involved in the preparation of earthquake is of fundamental importance to understand what is going on before, during and after a major earthquake. In this presentation we introduce Geosystemics, then we will provide the best tool –Entropy- for applying it to earthquake studies, with some examples. We also show how much important is the study of other signals (e.g. magnetic field) likely associated to earthquakes.
