The open lecture, The environment and its associated hazards by Dr Massimo Chiappini, Director of Department of Environment of the National Institute of Geophysics and Vulcanology (INGV), Rome, Italy, is organised by the Institute of Geosciences (IGEO) in close collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Tirana (UPT), Albania.

Expectations
We are committed to collaborating with the public institutions in the country and the various branches of the industry operating.
In addition to environmental hazards, metamaterials will also be briefly mentioned.
This open lecture will be followed by a series of open lectures and trainings as part of the aforementioned framework.
