Creation of the DS Bulletin

The DS Bulletin relies on data contributed mainly by seismological stations of the Albanian Seismic Network (ASN) and regional seismic stations from other cooperating homologues Agencies in the region as well as on the data from the International Seismological Centre (ISC) and the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

These data, which may include hypocenters, phase arrival-times, focal mechanism solutions, etc. from local and regional seismic network and other regional or global seismological Agencies, are automatically grouped with existing events or grouped into events when they are missing, which form the basis of the DS Bulletin.

An interactive thresholding process decides whether each event should be manually reviewed by an authorized personnel, which may also be relocated by the DS, depending on the available data.
