Thesis Summary:
This PhD thesis focuses on the quantification and modelling of active tectonics in Albania, which is marked by significant seismicity and historical earthquakes. The primary case study is the November 26, 2019 Durrës earthquake (Mw 6.4) and its sequence, analyzed through InSAR and GNSS data. The models highlight co-seismic displacements and post-earthquake slow-slip events (SSE). Processing of GNSS network data further reveals horizontal and vertical deformations, contributing to the understanding of Albania’s tectonics and seismic risks.
