Ing Olgert Gjuzi has a continuing education, where from 2018-2021 he studied at Polis University, for a Master of Science in Civil Engineering profile Geotechnics and during the years 2015-2016 he studied Master of Science in Urban Environmental Management.
While at the Faculty of Geology and Mining, the Polytechnic University of Tirana during the years 2007-2013 he studied Earth Science Engineering and Geo-Environmental Engineering.
He has also participated in national and international training, among which we can mention the International Training Course on "Seismology, Seismic Data Analysis. Hazard Assessment and Risk Mitigation 2019, in Potsdam Germany, German Research Center for Geosciences.
Internship at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute within the Geoloab Horizon 2020 project.
Since 2013, Mr. Gjuzi has been part of the Institute of Geosciences as an academic researcher assistant at the Department of Seismology. The tasks he performed during this period are closely related to the monitoring of seismic activity in the Albania territory and the surrounding region, informing the national authorities responsible for civil emergencies, as well as public information.
Mr. Gjuzi's areas of interest are focused on scientific research, teaching process, seismological network, seismic data analysis and geotechnical earthquake engineering.
Ing Gjuzi conducts supporting scientific research in the analysis of seismic events by applying methods of moment tensor inversion, spatial and temporal distribution, and clustering. Also the improvement of the database and the good functioning of the national seismic activity monitoring center.
